About the Authors

Louise Kursmark and Jan Melnik have been writing resumes and books—together and separately—for more than 20 years. Each is a Master Resume Writer with a successful private practice as well as an industry leader, frequent conference presenter, and active member of professional associations.

They identified the idea for this "Resume Roadmap" series at a professional conference, when they were repeatedly asked about books and resources to help career advisors and resume writers working with very specific client challenges. Further brainstorming led them to identify "buckets" of challenges that may be faced by very different job seekers. They created the Roadmap series to focus on the challenges—and solutions—to guide career professionals in helping their clients position themselves for career success.
